Zoo Digital posts bumper growth despite impact of US writers’ strikes

Subtitling and dubbing specialist Zoo Digital says it has taken steps to reduce its cost base amid the impact of US screenwriter and actor strikes.
Reporting bumper growth in revenue and profits, the Sheffield-based firm said the widespread strike action was now affecting the pipeline of titles that required its services to make them suitable for global streaming distribution. With speculation the action may last until at least October, Zoo said it was adjusting costs to combat the temporary slowdown.
