Myenergi co-founder Jordan Brompton has urged Prime Minister Rishi Sunak not to make a u-turn on the banning of petrol and diesel cars.
A delay on the 2030 phase-out is widely rumoured to be part of a climbdown on green targets, with a speech set for later today to “set out an important long-term decision”. The Grimsby business has been one of the fastest growing companies in recent years, from start-up in 2016 to a £53 million turnover. A slowdown in expansion that saw it recognised by The Sunday Times as a top 10 British success story has already been witnessed recently, leading to significant staff cuts as stratospheric sales stuttered.
