Tesco makes big change to 1,000 stores – and shoppers will be thrilled

TESCO has made a major change that will affect 1,000 stores, and shoppers will be pleased.
The supermarket giant has rolled out Whoosh, its rapid delivery service, to 1,000 of its Express stores.

The online service first launched in May 2021 and is now available in half of Tesco Express stores across the UK.
Tesco had set a target to offer Whoosh from 800 of its stores by the end of February 2023, but has exceeded that target by 200 stores.
Whoosh allows shoppers the chance to order food in as little within 30 minutes.
Orders can be placed via the Tesco app or website and there is a £2.99 delivery fee.

Shoppers must spend a minimum of £15 in order to use the service.
To find out if your local Express store uses Whoosh, you can use the store locator via the Tesco website.
If eligible, you’ll see a Whoosh option on the page and then the choice to “book a slot”.
Greg Bertrand, head of Whoosh at Tesco, said: “Our Whoosh service is rolling out at a rapid pace, opening in two Express stores a day on average this year.

“We’ve beaten our own target and we are seeing growing evidence that customers love the quality, speed and convenience of the service.”

Tesco isn’t the only supermarket to offer a speedy delivery service.
Through apps like Deliveroo and Uber Eats, shoppers at Sainsbury’s, Asda and Co-op can also get goods delivered within the hour.
It comes as Tesco announced it would be making a huge change to its Clubcard rewards.
The supermarket chain is reducing the value of Clubcard vouchers spent with reward partners.
At the moment, customers can exchange and triple the value of these vouchers at various reward partners including Pizza Express and Zizzi.

But from June 14, Clubcard vouchers will only be worth double their value if exchanged at any of Tesco’s 100 reward partners.
The move will mean that their value won’t go as far as it used to on things like family days out at Alton Towers Resort, meals at PizzaExpress, sunny getaways with Hotels.com and much more.
Customers wishing to avoid the points devaluation for as long as possible can do so by ordering partner codes before June 14.
On top of that, shoppers must also prepare for the closure of the Clubcard app and instead use the new Tesco Grocery & Clubcard app.

The Clubcard app officially closes on April 18 but shoppers can use the new one now.
But if you don’t download the new app by the time the current apps close, you won’t lose any points or coupons.
You’ll just have to log in online to access your account.
In order to continue earning points after April 18, you’ll have needed to download the new app or use your physical Clubcard card.
