Tarmac Aggregates forced to pay £1.47m following death of young quarry worker

Tarmac Aggregates has been ordered to pay £1.47m following the death of a young man who was carrying out maintenance work at a Leicestershire quarry.
Luke Branston, who was aged 26 and from Leicester, was crushed to death after becoming trapped between a conveyor and a feed hopper at Mountsorrel Quarry. He died in the early hours of June 21, 2017.
