Sports nutrition brand expanding factory after sales soar

Sports nutrition firm Applied Nutrition is planning to expand its Knowsley operations as it aims for £100m turnover and American expansion after another strong year.
Merseyside-based Applied Nutrition is known for working with global UFC stars Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett, and Molly ‘Meatball’ McCann, as well as with football clubs including Rangers and rugby league clubs including Salford Red Devils.
The company has now released its latest accounts, which show that for the year ending July 31, turnover stood at £61.2m – up from £35.2m in 2022 to in 2023.
Pre-tax profits rose from £9.8m to £17.7m. Shareholders’ funds at the end of the year stood at £28.3m, up from £14.6m in 2022.
