
Signs of weakness in the wider UK housing market are failing to dent prices in Northern Ireland, according to latest government data.
The Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA) said average price of a house in the province in the three months to the end of September was up 2.1% on the same period in 2022 and up 3.1% on the second quarter of this year. The report uses stamp duty data to analyse house prices and, although slightly delayed, is one of the most accurate reflections of trends.
