Online food retailer British Corner Shop goes bust

An online retailer that exported much-loved British food and drink overseas has gone into administration and has ceased trading.
British Corner Shop, which was established in 2004 and based in South Gloucestershire, shipped items including Percy Pigs, Ambrosia custard and Warburtons crumpets to suppliers as well as expats unable to find UK-made products abroad. In 2021, the company agreed a deal with Marks and Spencer to sell 800 different M&S products on its platform.
The company collapsed on January 2 and Jonathan Dunn and Matthew Whitchurch were appointed joint administrators. All staff at British Corner Shop were made redundant.
