Northern Ireland company partners with cement giants to decarbonise the sector

A Northern Ireland company which is aiming to decarbonise the global cement sector has partnered with four global industry giants.
Nuada, which builds energy-efficient filtration machines that capture CO2 in energy intensive processes, is to partner with cement companies Holcim, SCG, Cementos Argos and Cementos Molins.
The move paves the way for the roll out of its pioneering technology which will help to dramatically reduce carbon emissions from the production of cement. Historically the process of heating limestone during cement manufacturing emitted large volumes of carbon but Nuada’s technology will capture the carbon during the process.
