Greggs toasts record annual performance in another year of ‘rapid growth’

Bakery chain Greggs has booked a record annual performance with total sales rising nearly 20% to more than £1.8bn.
New results for the FTSE250 retailer show a slow down in sales growth in the final three months of the year due to less contribution from price inflation. But pre-tax profits were reported at £188.3m, up from £148.3m a year earlier as like-for-like sales in company-managed shops grew 13.7%.
