Three Northern Ireland entrepreneurs are investing £400,000 in a food ordering app which promises to reduce fees for participating businesses.
Eat Local is a joint venture by Ivan McCombe, Anthony Pereira and Sandeep Sharma and is looking to disrupt the traditional food delivery model which is dominated by global giants Deliveroo, Just Eat and other brands.
Its app offers restaurants, takeaways and cafes a zero commission structure which it says will prevent the need for menu prices for online delivery to be inflated to account for additional charges.
