Contractor appointed for next phase of Birmingham housing project

Contractor Caddick Construction has been appointed to deliver the next phase of the Port Loop residential scheme in Birmingham.
The £14 million brief will see it build phase 2b, comprising 58 apartments on canalside land near Edgbaston Reservoir which is due to be ready in early 2025.
This is the first project for the Yorkshire company following the appointment of Ray O’Sullivan as Midlands regional director in the summer and the launch of a new office in Birmingham city centre.
Port Loop is a long-running residential scheme on vacant land in a loop formed by the Birmingham Canal Old Line off Icknield Port Road.
