Shoe retailer Clarks has opened a store in the building the company was founded in nearly 200 years ago.The Clarks Originals branch in Street, in Somerset, is the second UK Originals store for the retailer and will sell shoes including the Desert Boot and the Wallabee. The other Originals outlet is on Berwick Street in Soho, in London. The Somerset store will showcases key moments from the brand’s history, including archival shoe fobs, how signature styles are constructed, and the Clarks and Jamaica book, that marks the long-standing connection between Clarks Originals and the island’s culture, the company said.
