
Giacom chief executive Mike Wardell has stepped down from the helm of the Hull-headquartered cloud software provider, having overseen a period of incredible growth and multiple acquisitions.
A hugely successful near-seven year stint has been brought to an end, with the Giacom name recently adopted by the wider stable of tech companies it became part of through a series of buy-outs and restructures. It is now aligned with the telecoms infrastructure that underpins it, with a single support network for customers.
Having guided it through a run of structural changes after nurturing a ‘mature start-up’ with a vital switch from an endangered dial-up host to software as a service provision for the SME community, Mr Wardell said the time was right for a new test.
