Bristol economy expected to grow faster than rest of UK

Bristol’s growing economy is expected to “significantly outpace” the rest of the UK over the next five years, according to a new report. The city is predicted to grow by 8.9% over the period, compared to 6.9% for the country as a whole, the research from real estate firm Avison revealed.
The growth will be primarily driven by the expansion of Bristol’s knowledge industries, including artificial intelligence (AI) and life sciences. Bristol’s information and communication sector alone is projected to grow by 12.9% by 2028, closely followed by its science and tech sector, which is expected to see 10.6% growth.
