Body Shop store and job losses likely as administration looms

There are fears of store closures and job losses as The Body Shop is reportedly set to appoint administrators for its UK business this week. The company was set up in 1976 by the late Dame Anita Roddick.
But, according to reports, it is now likely to bring in administrators this week to restructure the business. The company was taken over by private equity firm Aurelius only weeks ago.
According to a BBC report, Christmas trading was not as expected. It also reported that The Body Shop did not have enough working capital to continue in its current form.
The Body Shop has more than 200 shops in the UK, employing a significant number of people. It has its HQ in London.
