Black Country land deal could pave way for new resi scheme

A property firm has acquired brownfield land in the Black Country with plans to create a new residential development there.
Birmingham-based Future High Street Living has bought 18.5 acres in Dudley where it hopes to win consent to build a mix of new apartments and houses of differing sizes.
Full details on the company’s plans for the site have not yet been released but it could also contain some retail space.
The land, which was once home to a derelict industrial estate, is situated off Level Street directly opposite the Merry Hill shopping centre in Brierley Hill.
