Airbus announces plans to hire 1,100 new people across the UK

Aerospace giant Airbus has announced that it plans to hire an additional 1,100 people in the UK, with positions including cyber security engineers, software engineers project and programme managers, plus cryogenics system engineers, manufacturing engineers and robotics engineers.
The company, which employs thousands of people at its UK sites in Filton, South Gloucestershire, and Broughton, North Wales, noted its economic contribution to the Bristol area for 2022 was £445m.
